According to Tracxn data, the funding in Indian startups in the first quarter of the calendar year 2019 sank 25% sequentially to $2.4 billion.

Indian Startups raised $5.85 billion of funding in the first half of 2019, from investors in 360 deals. 227 Angel investors participated in the early-stage funding rounds, a report published by Inc42 DataLabs.

100X.VC– first VC invest in early-stage startups using India iSAFE Notes

Sanjay Maheta newly started 100X.VC, the first Venture Capital to invest in early-stage startups using India iSAFE Notes(India Simple Agreement for Future Equity). iSAFE, which avoids slow documentation and cuts timeline significantly, permits an investor to make cash investments in return for a convertible instrument.

Ninad Karpe Former MD and CEO, Aptech has joined the 100X.VC as a partner and Yagnesh Sanghrajka, ex-finance head of Hinduja Group, Phoenix Mills Group and MT Educare has joined as the Chief Financial Officer.

The newly launched VC provides funding to early-stage startups that fulfill the basic funding criteria such as founding team, market size opportunity, business model strength, unfair advantage, moat, the conviction of minimum 20x return.
