Indian startups raised $156 million funding- 4th week August

Indian startups raised $56 million by equity and raised $100 million by dept funding is 10 times more than last week’s $10M.

Fundraising by Venture debt means the founder’s faith in its startup future growth.Lack of major deal, equity funding is only $56 million last week.

Shopkirana: Indore-based B2B eCommerce platform providing startup raised $10 million in series B funding round led by Edge, Incubate Fund, Akatsuki AET Fund, NPTK Emerging Asia Fund, and Better Capital. Shopkirana has raised a total of $12.1M in funding over 5 rounds. Shopkirana connects brands and traditional retailers with the help of technology and supply chain innovation.

AVIOM: Aviom India Housing Finance: A Delhi-based housing finance company raised $8.3 million (Rs 60 crore) in Series B round on Aug 19, 2019. Aviom India Housing Finance has raised a total of Rs. 750M in funding over 2 rounds. Aviom India Housing Finance is funded by 3 investors. Gojo & Company, Inc. and C4D Partners are the most recent investors.

Infra.Market: A Mumbai-based B2B online real estate and construction material procurement marketplace raised $3.5 million in a seed round from Accel Partners. This is the first disclosed round of funding by the company.

vPhrase: AI-powered analytical platform provider startup vPhrase raised $2 million in series A funding round. Lo! Foods: A Bengaluru-based healthtech startup Lo! Foods raised $500,000 in Seed round of funding. Lo! Foods is funded by 6 investors. Raveen Sastry and Sunil Chhabra are the most recent investors. Startup is a packing company of Low Carb and High Protein snacks and other products.

 Instoried: A Bengaluru-based AI-driven deep tech content startup Instoried raised $500,000 in seed round from Venture Catalysts. Startup predicts emotions of the content in real time using Artificial intelligence.

Zendrive: A San Francisco and Bengaluru-based StartUp have raised $37 million in Series B funding, led by XL Innovate and Hearst Ventures. Zendrive has raised a total of $57M in funding over 4 rounds. Their latest funding was raised on Aug 20, 2019 from a Series B round. Zendrive is funded by 18 investors including SignalFire, Nyca Partners, BMW i Ventures, ACME capital, Sherpa Capital, Thomvest Ventures, Itamar Novick.

Lokal: Bengaluru-based Telangana and Andhra Telugu Local News platform raised $150K in Seed round of funding from Y Combinator. Lokal is funded by 2 investors. Y Combinator and India Quotient are the most recent investors.

Hungerbox:  Bengaluru-based, corporate food catering FoodTech startup raised $8.1 million in Seriesround of funding from Paytm parent company One 97 Communications and Sabre Partners Trust. HungerBox has raised a total of $9.2M in funding over 3 rounds. Their latest funding was raised on Aug 20, 2019 from a Series C round.HungerBox is funded by 5 investors. One97 Communications and Sabre Partners are the most recent investors.

INDwealth: A Gurugram-based Ashish Kashyap Founded Fintech wealth management platform raised $15 million funding led by Tiger Global. By this round of funding a total of $45.6M in funding over 4 rounds by INDwealth. The startup last raised a seed funding round of $30 million from hedge fund Steadview Capital in October last year

SILA: Mumbai-based Real Estate Platform raised $7.80 million capital from Palo Alto, California-based venture capital and growth equity investment firm. Over the last few years, SILA has efficiently scaled, with operations in 75+ cities, 6000+ employees and a client base of multiple Fortune 500 companies.

Undisclosed Funding by Indian startups

Slingloft is a multi-merchant reward platform for mid-scale business in India founded n 2017 by Prasanta Paul. Slingloft is a Loyalty platform that helps consumers to collect rewards from their favorite brands in a Universal Reward Wallet. Gurgaon-based food product review startup raised undisclosed amount in Seed round funding.

Global Esports, A Mumbai-based online gaming startup Global Esports has raised an undisclosed multi-million in a seed round of funding from Asia’s largest Integrated Incubator Venture Catalysts.

StartUp Global Esports Founded in November 2018 by Rushindra Sinha and Mohit Israney, GE owns teams, creates content, organises community tournaments, hosts events online and offline, helps budding esports stars in the field of gaming, and sells merchandise.

Exit and acquisition of Indian startups

Vahanalytics, a data analytics startup that tracks vehicle, Driver and roads by use of Smartphone and big data with the help of machine learning and sensor algorithms is acquired by startup Rapido.

Alphalogic Techsys, a Pune-based startup going to be listed on BSE stock market’s startup platform.

Amazon picking up a 3.5% beneficial stake in Future Retail worth well over $100 mn.
