San Francisco and Bengaluru-based StartUp Zendrive is founded in 2013 by Jonathan Matus and  Pankaj Risbood.

Zendrive uses over 180 billion miles of data analyzed, plus the sensors on drivers’ smartphones, to measure and improve driving behaviour.

How does it work?

Zendrive measures driver safety using smartphone sensors: the accelerometer, gyroscope, and GPS. This is done by measuring a wide variety of driving behaviors including speeding, hard braking, sharp accelerations, driver phone use, etc, and create a score from 0-100 that shows the individual’s driving safety, and predict the future risks.

Zendrive analyzes this behavior and returns actionable insights, including notifications of collisions, risk analysis, and a guide to coach drivers for sustained improvement. Zendrive’s partners use this to offer new features to their customers.
